Shai Rotem has been accused of unethical conduct by multiple clients and therapists. In addition to individual clients and therapists who raised concerns about Shai's behavior, four (4) formal complaints were filed against Shai that included corroboration by all the therapists and clients involved. The allegations in those complaints were serious and compelling. It is additionally concerning that Shai Rotem chose to resign from IPSA rather than cooperate with the Ethics Committee investigation regarding the complaints against him.
IPSA is committed to the integrity of the practice of Surrogate Partner Therapy and to the safety and well-being of all clients. As part of that commitment, we believe it is important for potential clients, in order to have informed consent, to know that there are serious concerns about Shai Rotem's conduct with clients.
Although Shai Rotem is no longer a member of IPSA, it is IPSA’s obligation to make known to the public that his certification has been permanently revoked.
This notification, sent to Shai Rotem by email and registered mail, will remain posted on the IPSA website.
